Halloween at Disney
Outfit planning for the Halloween season at Disney brings us so much joy! We love getting to customize outfits for clients who are attending the parks during the spooky season. If you’re in need of some help, you can book a session with us for your trip.
There is nothing like going to the parks during Halloween. The decor is top notch,
and the specialty treats are oh so good. If you are headed to either MNSSHP or Oogie Boogie Bash, be sure to check out their costume rules in our video below.
If you’re planning your outfits at the last minute or just don’t want the fuss of planning an outfit, check out our Template Shop! We have pre-planned outfits that are directly linked and are great for either MNSSHP or Oogie Boogie Bash!
Splurge vs. Save
There is no shortage of adorable Disney themed items during the Halloween season. It’s probably one the most anticipated drops of the year from brands like Loungefly and Cakeworthy. And while we absolutely love those brands because we know you are getting high-quality items, we also understand that they aren’t always easy on the budget.
So we’ve rounded up some spooky purses and mini backpacks that are similar in theme, but different in price. We’d like to call it "Trick or Treat Yo’ Self" (because we are die-hard Parks and Rec fans). You can choose to “Treat Yo' Self” with high-quality, long-lasting items featuring beloved Disney characters. Or, you can choose to “Trick Yo' Self” into the more affordable option where you’re losing the Disney IP and possibly quality, but gaining a little more cash for some cute treats at the Halloween Parties. These bags are perfect for a day at the Disney Parks, attending MNNSHP/Oogie Boogie Bash, or if you’re just wanting to celebrate Halloween with some cute accessories.
Coffin Mini Backpacks
There is no doubt that Mickey is very cute, even though he’s trying really hard to be scary. 😆 While he may be the splurge, you do get a lot for your money, as it is a 2-in-1! It can convert to a crossbody! The save option is also a great deal. It comes with three inserts for your pin collection. We also love that the chain is removable if that’s not your style.
Pumpkin Crossbodies
We absolutely adore the Mickey & Minnie crossbodies. They would be perfect for pictures with the iconic Mickey pumpkin at Disneyland. Not only are they cute, but they are also practical with enough room to hold your essentials and more. But, if you just want to add a small spooky piece, the Pumpkin Candy Crossbody is a great way to save! We love the glitter detail, but it also comes in a matte version if you aren’t a fan of glitter. The downside is that it can’t hold much, and it’s not Disney-themed.

Ghost Mini Backpacks
Maybe you are looking for something that screams, “Boo to You!” The Mickey Ghost Loungefly is a classic way to show off your ghostly style. Plus, this one doesn’t run as expensive as other Loungeflys, while still having all of the quality and room! But, in case Loungeflys aren't your thing, the Mini Ghost Cartoon Backpack is going to be right up your alley. It is a little less expensive and a little more spooky.

Stitch Fanny Packs
Stitch is certainly a fan favorite, and he looks extra adorable for the Halloween season on this candy-inspired fanny pack by Loungefly. We couldn’t find an exact match to save you some pennies, so we got a little creative with this one. We found an orange striped fanny pack, then paired it with an iron-on Stitch patch! By adding a little DIY, you can save a lot of money!

Bat Crossbodies
We are completely “batty” over this Disney x LASR Mickey Bat Crossbody. (Sorry, we had to 😅) It’s another convertible option, so it can also work as a mini backpack! We found two save options for this theme since the splurge option can work as two styles. The Bat Mini Backpack is one of our favorites for this season. We love the subtle detail of our winged friend, and it is a great size for the parks, which also makes it practical. The crossbody is cute, and you could reuse it when taking the kids Trick-or-Treating this year.

You really can’t go wrong with any of these choices. Even if you’re not headed to the parks this spooky season, they are a great addition to any Halloween wardrobe. We love to theme our outfits to places like the pumpkin patch or fun Halloween pop-up bars around our area, so we would get plenty of use out of them during the first two "-ber" months! If you happen to add any of these to your collection, let us know! We would love to hear from you in the comments or on social media over on Instagram!
And remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
