Disney Destiny Outfits: What to Wear on Disney Cruise Line’s Heroes & Villains Ship

The Disney Destiny set sail back in 2025 and is part of the Wish Class fleet. My family sailed on the Disney Destiny back in April, and it was by far my favorite ship! The Hero and Villain theme make this ship so unique, and of course, sparks a lot of inspiration for outfits.
This was also my favorite ship due to the fact that it has spaces and nods to my favorite Disney movies and characters throughout the entire cruise ship. From Robin Hood to Brave, I was able to see these ideas brought to life in such a beautiful and creative way.

Spider-Man Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Our first hero outfit is your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Marvel is heavily present throughout the ship. Not only is T’Challa the statue that greets you in the Grand Hall, but you can dine at Worlds of Marvel and meet characters like Loki and Spider-Man. There are also some shows that involve Spider-Man that are fun for all ages!
This outfit is perfect for a casual day at sea, meeting your favorite Marvel friends, or dining at Worlds of Marvel where you might see some familiar faces! You could even add a blue or white skirt to give it a more elevated look for dinner.
Hercules Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Bless my soul, I finally have a reason to wear my Hercules merch. Hercules is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, and it can be found all over the Disney Destiny!
Not only are there Hercules themed-rooms and a cafe dedicated to my queen Megara, but they also have an exclusive Hercules Broadway-like show. The show is absolutely phenomenal, and I HIGHLY recommend getting there early and watching it!
The dress for this outfit can be re-worn throughout your cruise with different accessories. It’s great for brunch at Palo or even just a day at sea! If you are going to wear the ears for the show, just make sure you remove them during the performance so others behind you can enjoy this incredible experience!
Lion King Outfit for the Disney Destiny
One of the best parts about a Disney cruise is the entertainment and dining. During one of your dining rotations, you get to experience a musical dining experience based on a beloved Disney movie.
Each ship has a different show, and the Destiny is now home to a brand new performance of The Lion King with Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King. We absolutely loved this meal and show.
This look is perfect for your Lion King dining night and cute enough to rewear when you disembark! If matching sets aren’t your thing, break it up:
Top + skirt or jeans
Pants + Lion King graphic tee for a casual vibe
We paired this outfit with ears, but remember to remove them once the show starts so you’re not blocking anyone behind you!
Merida Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Brave was a movie that spoke to me as an adult. Seeing Merida struggle with her fate and her mom was so moving for me during a time in my life where I was making some big life decisions. I think as a Disney princess, she’s widely underrated, so I am so happy to see her shine on the Disney Destiny!
She has a delicious dedicated area on the Disney Destiny called Cafe Merida. This space is gorgeous and perfect for photos. My only wish is that you could meet her on the ship - that would really be the icing on the cake.
This outfit is comfortable for all-day wear and especially for grabbing the butterscotch coffee. The cafe was very busy most of the day, so if you’re looking to take some photos in this cute outfit, try waiting until the evening!
Cruella Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Disney villains are well represented on the Disney Destiny, and Cruella de Vil makes it known that she is an important part of your journey. Meeting Cruella is an absolute must, as she will give you fashion advice whether or not you asked for it.
The best way to a villain's heart is through flattery, and with this outfit, she just might choose you to be part of her fashion show. Cruella’s fashion show happens in the Grand Hall, and it is so much fun. Crew members choose guests to walk the runway with Cruella's approval.
Looking for even more Cruella? This outfit can be worn in De Vil’s Piano Lounge, which is the adults-only piano bar on the Destiny. Just like the Hercules dress, this outfit can be re-worn with different accessories for a night at Palo or Enchante.
Maleficent DisneyBound Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Maleficent makes a stunning entrance on the Disney Destiny. Like most Disney villains on the ship, her line fills up quickly. We waited about an hour to meet the queen, but it was well worth it.
One of my favorite parts about a Disney cruise is that you can be a little over the top with your outfit and not have to worry about sweating in it all day as you do in the parks.
This Maleficent Disneybound outfit will be fantastic for photos with the queen. If the feathers are too much for all-day wear, you can just throw them in your stateroom when you’re done!
Dr. Facilier Outfit for the Disney Destiny
Even though we had 5 amazing days on the Disney Destiny, there were still things we didn’t get to. Meeting Dr. Facilier and getting to his parlor were high priorities for us, but sadly the times that were available never worked in our favor.
From what we’ve heard, Dr. Facilier’s Parlor is a one-of-a-kind experience, and if you have the opportunity to be part of it, make sure you get there early. We created an outfit just for the Voodoo Man. You can also meet him in the Grand Hall, and I am sure he’ll be impressed with this look!
Haunted Mansion Outfit for the Disney Destiny
When the Disney Destiny was first announced, I was thrilled that the Haunted Mansion lounge would be on the ship. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World largely due to the theming, and the creative team for the lounge understood the assignment.
If you are a Haunted Mansion fan, you must visit this spot. The theming is truly everything I could have hoped for with details that die-hard fans will appreciate. You can actually book a private photo session for this lounge, so of course we planned an outfit just for the occasion.
