Haunted Mansion Outfits

I often get asked what my favorite attraction is at Walt Disney World. My response has been the same for the past 15 years, and that is Haunted Mansion. I admit that as a child, the ride did exactly what it was supposed to do, which is scare the bejeezus out of me. But, when I rode this ride as an adult, I was finally able to appreciate the genius creativity of Imagineers like Rolly Crump, Marc Davis, and Yale Gracey. And, let’s not forget my favorite Imagineer, Bob Gurr, who created the infamous Doom Buggy.

Her look is completed with spooky floral Mickey ears featuring black roses and Haunted Mansion-inspired details—perfect for a themed Disney outfit that’s fun, fashionable, and park-ready

Because I love this ride so very much, I felt like it needed its own blog for outfit ideas. These looks range from ideas that are great for all day at the parks to outfits that would be perfect for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, and the Disney Treasure.

Couple posing in front of the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, both wearing themed graphic t-shirts. One shirt features Madame Leota with the phrase 'Come Out Socialize' in purple, while the other is a black 'Disney Punk' tee. Both are also wearing themed face masks and casual park-ready accessories, perfect for a spooky Disney day inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction.

As always, the items on this blog are usually quick-ship items if you’re in a pinch for time. We try to style a variety of styles and sizes here on the blog, but if you're looking for something a little more unique, you can check out our customized services. We can plan an outfit for you using small shops and everything in-between to give you the most personalized outfit possible.

Now, let’s dig into these looks. I’m dying to share them with you…(sorry, couldn’t resist 😉)

Leota Outfit

Even as a terrified kid, I was completely entranced with Leota’s section of the attraction. She was beautiful, mesmerizing, and haunting. I do believe I own more Leota t-shirts than any other Disney character. This look is what I like to call my theme park uniform. I am most comfortable in a t-shirt, skort, and fanny pack at Disney. Black is not super ideal for a Florida summer, but this outfit would be ideal during the cooler months and would definitely work at Disneyland.

A fun and spooky Haunted Mansion-inspired outfit perfect for a Disney vacation, featuring a Leota graphic tee, a blue skirt, holographic sneakers, and themed accessories. The look is completed with a spooky mouse ear headband, a moon cuff bracelet, silver trumpet earrings, a colorful Haunted Mansion backpack, and a sleek holographic fanny pack, all designed to channel the eerie vibes of Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction while staying stylish and comfortable for park adventures

I am also partial to the accent colors of this look. We wanted to make sure her signature blue was included with holographic accents. Leota’s blue pairs perfectly with the Haunted Mansion’s iconic purple, so the sparkle headband is a great option if you’re wanting to wear it with the Leota Loungefly.

Haunted Mansion Wallpaper Outfit

Speaking of iconic, nothing is more synonymous with the Haunted Mansion attraction than the purple wallpaper, created by Imagineer, Tania McKnight Norris. We love that she chose to go with purple as the main color, as it represents mystery and magic.

Haunted Mansion-inspired Disney outfit idea featuring a purple button-up shirt with a ghostly wallpaper print, paired with a white cropped tank, black biker shorts, and black high-top sneakers. Accessories include a bat-wing scrunchie, spiderweb hair clip, bat-shaped sunglasses, black coffin-shaped crossbody bag, and spiked hoop earrings—perfect for a spooky yet comfortable Disney park day. Styled for fans of Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction looking for themed vacation outfits with a dark and playful twist.

You can find this pattern in many different items and accessories, but we wanted it to be the main attraction for this look with the shirt. You can choose to wear it open with a tank underneath, or button it up and tie it to pair with a skirt. The bat sunglasses are really fun, but they might be more for photos than function. If you are into Halloween, you can re-wear the coffin crossbody during spooky season! This outfit can be worn anytime of the year at Disneyland or Disney World if you’re a Haunted Mansion fan, but it can also be a cute and casual look for any of the Halloween parties at Disney.

Constance Hatchaway Outfit

Leota isn’t the only leading lady in this attraction. There has always been a bride theme in the attic scene, but in 2006, we were officially introduced to Constance Hatchaway with a backstory that should make any groom nervous. Even though her appearance has changed throughout the years, there are a few elements that remain the same for this always bride-to-be.

Haunted Mansion-inspired Disney outfit based on Constance Hatchaway, the iconic bride from the attraction. The look includes a black lace long-sleeve top, a flowing black satin skirt, and gothic accessories like a blue rose headband, axe-shaped earrings, and a black heart ring with sapphire accents. The outfit is completed with a Haunted Mansion-themed backpack featuring Constance and her doomed groom, making it a perfect spooky-chic look for a Disney vacation or Magic Kingdom day

Constance is always seen with a white wedding dress, a beating heart, and blue coloring. Constance’s dress is always white in the attraction, but white isn’t always forgiving at a theme park. So, we took the black widow theme and created an outfit that represents her mourning of all her grooms. We still added details of a wedding dress with the lace top and satin skirt. Due to the Florida Heat, this outfit would be more fit for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, or even the Disney Treasure.

Haunted Mansion Maid Outfit

Cast member costumes at the Disney theme parks can be part of the fun for the guest. I have always envied anyone who got the assignment of maid at the Haunted Mansion. The cast member costumes of this attraction really help set the stage for what you’re about to see during your ride. There is just something about the greens and blacks that have always stood out to me and often made me want to create this cast member outfit as a costume for a Halloween Party at home.

Two Haunted Mansion-inspired Disney outfit ideas for women, perfect for a spooky day at Magic Kingdom or Disneyland. The first outfit features a black gothic-style dress with sheer sleeves, combat boots, Haunted Mansion tombstone earrings, and a black bow hair clip. The second look includes a green and black striped vintage-style dress with puff sleeves and a white collar, paired with spider hoop earrings. Both looks are accessorized with bat-wing backpacks, themed Minnie ears, and Halloween-ready tights, ideal for Disney park guests who love Haunted Mansion vibes and villainous fashion.

We ended up styling two dresses for this look. The dress on the right represents the traditional costumes of the Haunted Mansion maids. But, we also just really loved the all-black dress with its vintage flair, and it would be something you could re-wear for an event in your everyday life. The accessories are completely interchangeable for either dress!

Haunted Mansion Accessories

If you are planning your outfits at the last second and are just in need of some accessories, we’ve got you covered. We’ve put together a few items that should arrive quickly before your trip!

Haunted Mansion-themed Disney accessories perfect for a spooky park day, including multiple Haunted Mansion Mickey ears headbands, a purple wallpaper-print baseball cap, themed earrings featuring the hitchhiking ghosts, Madame Leota, and Doom Buggy scenes. Also shown are Haunted Mansion pins, spooky sticker decals, and a collector Haunted Mansion crossbody bag designed like the grandfather clock from the ride. These Disney accessories are ideal for fans wanting to add Haunted Mansion magic to their Disney World or Disneyland outfits.

There are so many other characters and themes to choose from for this attraction. From stretching room portraits to hitchhiking ghosts, you really can create so many adorable spooky outfits just from this one ride!
