If traveling to Orlando, Florida is on your radar this year, you might want to make a stop at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This theme park is packed with thrill rides, shows, and immersive theming.
Back in 2010, Islands of Adventure became the home of the first-ever Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s here where you can walk the streets of Hogsmeade, sip Butterbeer, and cast magical spells with your chosen wand.
But, it’s not all broomsticks and singing frogs at Islands of Adventure. There are plenty of other IPs and lands to explore, which means there are plenty of outfits to plan for this theme park! Here at Once Upon a Wardrobe, we believe that theming your outfit to your vacation adventure is half the fun and can even enhance your experience.

Seuss Landing Outfit Ideas for Islands of Adventure
One of the cutest family-friendly areas in all of Islands of Adventure is Seuss Landing. This is where you can find rides for your little ones and meet characters like Cat in the Hat.

The land is bright, colorful, and full of childhood nostalgia. We wanted to give a couple of outfits for this land, as there are so many directions you could go with your theme!
Cat in the Hat Outfit for Islands of Adventure
As a millennial mom myself, I would bet you have a black t-shirt hanging in your closet. If you’re looking for something classic and comfortable, this Cat in the Hat outfit is for you. Pair it with a few Cat in the Hat accessories, and you’ve got yourself a subtle and practical outfit for Islands of Adventure. Of course, depending on the weather, you might need to swap out the jeans for shorts or a skirt.
Lorax Outfit for Islands of Adventure
If speaking to the trees is more your vibe, then maybe try a Lorax themed look. Seuss Landing is filled with bright colors, so this outfit is perfect for snapping some photos for your social media page. The purse we have styled with this look may not be for everyone, so you can always pair it with a white fanny pack and add some pom-pom earrings to tie it all together.
Jurassic Park Outfit for Islands of Adventure
A big reason my family took a trip to Islands of Adventure was because one of my kiddos was completely obsessed with dinosaurs. And if anyone in your group loves Jurassic Park, this is a must-see part of the park. Even if VelociCoaster isn’t your type of thrill, there is so much to explore here.
And because there is so much to explore, we wanted you to be comfortable. An athletic dress is always a great option for looking cute and staying cool. Florida is known for its heat, but the flannel tied around your waist adds dimension to the look and comes in handy when that blasting air conditioning hits. We also love this look because a lot of the pieces you can rewear out of the park!
X-Men Outfit for Islands of Adventure
A lot of people associate Marvel with Disney, but Islands of Adventure actually has a great section for the Marvel fandom called Marvel Super Hero Island. In fact, you can actually meet some characters that you can’t meet at Disney, like Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and Rogue.
With that in mind, we wanted to plan a comfortable outfit that celebrated the uniqueness of this land with X-men accessories. This is more of a general X-Men theme, but you can add your favorite characters to make the outfit more personal to your interests.
Harry Potter Outfit for Islands of Adventure
One of the more well-known themes of Islands of Adventure is Harry Potter. The possibilities are endless for this theme, as you can be house-specific or lean towards a favorite character like Hagrid.
We went with a Hogwarts theme if you haven’t been sorted into your house yet and just want to show Hogwarts pride. This outfit is perfect for a summer day, as the bodysuit will keep you cool. Plaid is always a fun option when styling a Wizarding World look, but an all-black skirt would also look great!
