Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event held at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This means you MUST purchase a separate ticket if you want to attend this event, even if you plan on being at Magic Kingdom the day of a party. While the party officially starts at 7 p.m. and ends at midnight. However, you may enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. the day of your party. If you want to ride some rides, we would recommend doing so during this time! That way, you have time to enjoy party-specific activities that aren’t available until 7 p.m.

What’s Included With Your MVMCP Ticket:

One of the most magical perks included with your party ticket is free hot cocoa, cider, and cookies. There are cookie stations throughout your night where you will find different types of cookies to enjoy. And in past years, they’ve also Included a holiday ornament commemorating your night.

The night is filled with special fireworks, entertainment, and characters. This year, you can look forward to Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Frozen Holiday Surprise, Disney Jr. Jingle Jam, and Club Tinsel. You can also catch special characters, such as Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws, the 7 Dwarves, Santa Goofy, Stitch and so many more!

Almost all attractions and rides are also open, but last year, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Enchanted Tiki Room were all closed. Although, the Tiki Room was turned into a Meet and Greet for Stitch!

And last, you’ll get to watch a truly spectacular Christmas parade that’s filled with marching toy soldiers, dancing reindeer, and of course, Santa Claus. Do not miss Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade. You’ll also be pixie dusted with a little snow on Main Street to end your night.

What to Wear to MVMCP

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has endless options when it comes to outfit themes and ideas. But, we’ve narrowed it down to 5 looks that we think are unique and themed perfectly to the night’s festivities.

Frozen Holiday Outfit

As mentioned earlier, you can catch Frozen Holiday Surprise at the castle. This is such a fun and cute show that we wanted to create an outfit around it! The best part about the show is that even if you don’t have a party ticket, you can still catch this show if you’re at Magic Kingdom on a party day! There are two showtimes available for this event, and last year, the first one was at 6:15 p.m. While you cannot meet Anna or Elsa at the party (which we wish they would change!), this outfit would also work over at Epcot if you’re wanting a photo with them in the Norway pavilion!

Light blue and white Frozen-inspired outfit for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World, featuring a snowflake skirt, blue cardigan, Olaf earrings, glittery Minnie ears, and snowflake accessories.

We miss the Cinderella’s Castle Dream Lights so much that we wanted to bring in those colors through this outfit. The icy blues and silver are a great way to bring in elements of Elsa and Olaf. We wanted to make sure that this outfit sparkled just like the snow, and the crossbody bag also reminded us of a snowball! You can easily mix and match accessories to your preference, and add some glitter where you feel it needs it the most!

Once Upon a Christmas Parade Toy Soldier Look

One of the best parts about Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade is the marching toy soldiers. I will never forget when my parents attended this party, and this is all they could talk about! This inspired us to create an outfit completely centered around these unforgettable characters.

Chic Nutcracker-themed holiday outfit for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, including a black turtleneck dress, white tights, tall black boots, plaid Minnie ears, and a toy soldier bag.

For this look, we went with a black sweater dress to make sure that the accessories of the outfit really popped. This bag from kskboutique is the star of the show. We wanted to incorporate the colors of the soldiers through the ears, and we loved the plaid print, as it brings an extra touch of holiday feels. To give it a little more of a DisneyBound feel, we paired it with white tights and high boots, just like the soldiers. Remember, wear shoes that you are comfortable in! Don’t sacrifice function for fashion on such a special night. I am comfortable wearing boots into the park, but don’t test that out if it’s your first trip!

Classic red and black Christmas Disney outfit with a red sweater, black wide-leg pants, plaid Minnie ears, and a festive Mickey necklace, styled for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

If dresses aren’t your thing, we also styled this look with a pair of velvet pants and a red sweater. Faux leather leggings would also be cute with an oversized red sweater! While the Florida heat can be brutal, November and December nights should be cool enough to wear this look, but as always, watch the weather closely before you go to make sure you don’t need to adjust the outfit!

Belle Christmas Disneybound

One of the special characters you can meet at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is Princess Belle. Over in Fantasyland, you can find Belle in her cottage as usual, however, she greets guests in her rare Enchanted Christmas dress during party hours. This gorgeous dress is from the 1997 movie, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.

Cranberry is the color of the season, so if you choose to buy this dress, you can add it to your closet as a fall and winter staple. We dressed it up with golds, as that is the complementary color that runs throughout her Enchanted Dress, but winter whites would also be gorgeous here. Please note that we added a chain to the rose purse to make it longer and more comfortable for the parks.

Main Street & Mickey Holiday Look

Christmas on Main Street is pure magic. The decorations are simply stunning, the music piping through the streets fills me with nostalgia, and if you are headed to the party, you get to experience the wonders of snoap. Make sure you take some time to just sit on the curb and enjoy a cookie and hot chocolate while you soak in your surroundings on this evening. It’s a lot of fun, but don’t forget to take in the small moments too!

Casual and cozy Christmas outfit for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party with a “Jolly Holiday” t-shirt, red fanny pack, ripped jeans, fuzzy black zip-up jacket, and Minnie holiday ears.

If you are looking for more of a casual and comfy look for the night, we’ve got you covered. This shirt from Next Stop Main Street is just too cute. It’s simple enough to be able to add some brighter accessories to the look without making it too busy. Mary Poppins has also been known to make an appearance at the party, so you could easily add some bows and penguins to this look if you want to channel your inner Mary! We also added some layers and even a beanie in case you’re attending later in December, as those nights can be a bit more chilly!

Clarabelle Holiday Look (Ashlie’s Outfit)

And last, but CERTAINLY not least, we have our queen, Clarabelle. Oh how we wish she was a character meet, but you can spot her in two places during the party. One is during Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade where she gets her own float as she’s baking cookies. But the BEST time to see her is during the stage show Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration. She performs the Christmas Classic, All I Want for Christmas is You. And it is absolutely FABULOUS. Please make time to see this show, even if it’s just for Clarabelle!

I attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year with my family, and this is my outfit inspiration! I pulled a few things I already own from my closet, but added some items for you! I love adding a faux collar to a sweater to give it an elevated look.

While these outfits were planned for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can easily wear these looks to any of the parks throughout the holiday season. If you happen to wear any of these outfits we’ve planned, tag us on social media! We LOVE seeing clients and followers wearing the looks we’ve styled for you.
