Halloween at Walt Disney World is truly a spooktacular time, and while Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the star of the show, there are still plenty of Halloween offerings even if you’re not attending the after-hours event. Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot all offer a little something during the day. So, if you’re visiting any of those parks during your vacation, we’ll share what they are, and, of course, outfit ideas to match the Halloween theme! If you are looking for a more customized look, you can check out our outfit planning services where we work one-on-one with you to create outfits that are unique to your style and size!
We will share both comfortable and dressy looks for you to choose from! We have linked a lot of the items you will see, but if you are interested in every single item, you can find those over on our Patreon, where all paid members have access to our social media and blog outfits!
Magic Kingdom
This is the most decorated park out of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. Because it is the host of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, you can find adorable scarecrows, fall bunting, and Mickey wreaths, as early as August. Jack-o-lanterns also line the tops of the buildings on Main Street, and we highly recommend taking the time to check them out, as they are unique to each building.
During MNSSHP party days, Magic Kingdom does close early at 6 p.m. for non-party guests, however, this often makes for low crowds. So, if you’re not concerned about fireworks and want to focus on just rides for the day, this might actually be a great day to go!
We focused on two themes for outfit ideas for Magic Kingdom if you’re visiting during the Halloween season. Since August is still very toasty in Florida, we came up with some looks that will also keep you cool and comfortable.
Haunted Mansion
This is one of our favorite attractions in all of Walt Disney World. At the Haunted Mansion, you can find plenty of friendly and frightful ghosts year-round at Master Gracey’s Manor. The Halloween season is the perfect time to celebrate the iconic ride, and there is often a PhotoPass Photographer when you come out of the attraction who will snap your photo in front of the Mansion or Horseless carriage!
Our dressier option pays homage to the costumes that the Cast Members wear in the attraction. You can also find bats through the mansion, and, of course we wanted to make sure everyone knew you were a foolish mortal. On days where it’s not so hot (which we know are few and far between), adding the tights and combat boots would really pull this look together.
If you’re looking to volunteer to be the 1,000th Happy Haunt, our casual look might be up your alley. We love this shirt from Stuck in Neverland Co. so much that we couldn’t decide which color we like best, so we styled both options! The purple version shows the back side of the shirt, and the black version shows the front! We also love the coffin fanny pack, and you can never go wrong with an oversized tee and bike shorts for a cute and comfy look at Disney!

Mickey Pumpkin
These outfits are perfect for taking photos on Main Street during Halloween. With the backdrops of Mickey wreaths and Jack-o-lanterns, you can rest assured that your outfits will be cute and on theme!
We paired this look with a faux leather skirt to give it some spooky edge, but you can easily swap it out for a cotton skort if you’re worried about melting in the Florida heat. We mixed the pumpkins with some Mickey bats to bring in some other Halloween elements, but you can add in your own favorite accessories!
If staying cool, but also looking cute is a priority for you, we highly recommend an athletic dress. This one is particularly wonderful because you don’t have to take the entire dress off when you use the bathroom! Hats are another wonderful way to keep the sun off of your face, and we LOVE this cute Mickey ghost hat that also glows in the dark!
Epcot
During the Halloween season, Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival takes the main stage, so there isn’t any main decor or special events. However, there is one activity that is fun for the entire family! Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a pumpkin-themed scavenger hunt throughout World Showcase that runs August 29th-November 1 (or while supplies last). Once you grab a game board at either Port of Entry, Creations Shop, or World Traveler, you can begin your hunt and mark your findings on your card.
Once you find all of the pumpkins, you can return to any of the shops where game boards are available and claim your prize! While you do have to purchase the game boards, you do NOT have to finish the game to claim your prize. You can also spread this activity out over multiple days, so it’s a fun way to celebrate the season here at Epcot. We created just a couple of outfits that work perfectly in this theme park!
Skeleton Pluto
This outfit was inspired by the star of the scavenger hunt, Pluto. This two-piece set is perfect, as it can also transition into a summer weekend outfit. We also kept the ears neutral for this reason since we wanted to give an option to re-wear them with another outfit, but they are still on theme for the skeleton vibes!
Muppets
This outfit is purely based on our love for The Muppets. When 1953 Designs released this shirt, Ashlie immediately bought it! There isn’t a lot of Muppet representation at the parks, but Epcot is home to Sam’s Regal Eagle BBQ at the American Pavilion. So, this is your excuse to support Sam and salute all holidays, but mostly Halloween.
Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has all of the potential to be one of the best Halloween themed parks on property…and yet...it has almost no spooky offerings. With Hollywood Tower of Terror right on Sunset Blvd, it is kind of mind-blowing that Disney doesn’t take advantage of the already spooky vibes or do an overlay at Rockin’ Rollercoaster to some Halloween songs. But hey, a girl can dream.
The only offering at Hollywood Studios is Minnie’s Halloween Dine. This is a seasonal dining experience at Hollywood and Vine for only lunch and dinner. It typically starts around late August, but check with Disney’s site or your travel agent for more precise dates for your trips if this is something you’re interested in!
It is an all-you-can-eat buffet where you can find characters such as Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, or Mickey in their Halloween costumes. Ashlie’s family ate here when Covid restrictions were still in place, and her kids had a wonderful time. It’s always fun to see Mickey and friends in special outfits. Reservations are highly recommended, and the price can be slightly higher during seasonal offerings.
Minnie Witch
Our outfit idea was inspired by the host of the dining experience, Minnie Mouse. We love her outfit for this Halloween meal, so we incorporated elements of her look with purples, oranges, and witch-themed accessories to tie it all together. Palazzo pants are a fantastic piece to transition into the fall, as they can provide some coolness during the day and keep your legs covered for the chillier evenings.
Honorable Mentions
Disney Springs often has some Halloween-themed activities and shows during the fall season. Last year, they had special performances from Zombeats and a DJ rolling through in a Jack-o-lantern. There were also some decorations and special photo ops along with treats, of course! We created a couple of outfits themed around
The Nightmare Before Christmas, just because we love this movie so much. MNSSHP is the only place you can catch Jack & Sally at Walt Disney World, but we think this theme will still work great for a day at Disney Springs during the Halloween season. These outfits are also a great idea if you have plans for a Halloween on the High Seas cruise this season! During this cruise, you can watch the classic film and snap a photo with the rare couple!
Oogie Boogie
Even though Oogie Boogie is bland and beige during the daylight, we love his vibrant greens and neons when his black light comes on for his villainous plans. This outfit is also an excellent choice if you’re headed to Oogie Boogie Bash over in California!
Oogie Boogie Dangle Earrings
Jack Skellington
We see ourselves wearing this outfit for drinks at The Hangar Bat or grabbing some BBQ at Polite Pig. Grabbing a flannel is a great way to add some dimension to your look by tying it around your waist and keeping you warm in any restaurant where the AC is blasting!
Halloween is our favorite time of year, and celebrating it at the most magical place on earth is truly special. Even if you don’t grab a ticket to MNSSHP, we hope you can find a new tradition or celebrate an old one during these fall months. We love being able to plan outfits based on Halloween and hope you find these outfits helpful!
And remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
