Sweethearts’ Nite at Disneyland is back for 2025! This special ticketed event celebrates love, friendship, and of course, romance. So, we’ve planned some adorable outfits for you and your love for this special night. These looks would also be perfect for Valentine’s Day, Disney World, or my personal favorite, a Galentine’s Day celebration.Â
We are actually a magical outfit planning service, so if you like these looks, but want something a little more customized to your style and sizing needs, you can check out our outfit planning services!Â
2025 Pricing and Dates
Sweethearts’ Nite is held on select dates beginning January 21st through February 13th with prices ranging from $149- $179. The event officially begins at 9 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m. You may enter the park as early as 6 p.m. so you can get a head start on attractions.Â
What’s Included
Like most special ticketed events, Sweethearts’ Nite is filled with themed treats and photo opps, rare characters, and exclusive entertainment. Last year, Disney debuted a new cavalcade called the Sweethearts’ Nite Royal Cavalcade which happens twice each night. There are also plenty of opportunities to dance with your love around the park with live music, such as Moon Light Jazz Cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat.Â
Disney doesn’t list specific characters for this evening, but Disney couples are definitely a theme you’ll see during your event. According to Undercover Tourist, royal couples were out and about, but there were also appearances by Indiana Jones and Marion, Clarabelle and Horace, and even Judy and Nick from Zootopia!Â
What to Wear
Another perk of this special ticketed event is that it’s one of the few times you are allowed to dress in costume. You must still adhere to Disney’s Costume Guidelines. We have an article on the rules over on our Halloween post.Â
While Disneybounding and dressing in costume is a lot of fun, these outfits were planned with the original Date Nite at Disney event in mind. Walt launched the very first after hours event, Date Night at Disney, in 1957 as a way to attract the younger generation to the parks. I loved the idea of making this a true date night out, so these looks have everything from vintage romance to cozy chic looks to keep you warm on the cold California nights.Â
Minnie Loves Mickey
This outfit was inspired by the most iconic Disney lovebirds, Minnie & Mickey. We wanted a look that was colorful and that you could rewear on Valentine’s Day! Minnie Mouse is also the queen of pattern mixing, so we made sure to incorporate hearts alongside her classic polka dots. Worried about the cold? We paired each skirt or dress look with fleece leggings, so you can stay toasty and cute with these sparkle tights.Â
Pink Vintage Dream
We really wanted to play into the 1950’s with this outfit. The bow details paired with the fit and flare silhouette really make this outfit feel chic and romantic. These ears from A Dash of Tink Boutique are stunning and work beautifully with the earrings from Pineapple Pixie Dust Co. We also wanted the layers to feel luxurious, so the cropped faux fur jacket seemed like a match made in heaven. You could also pair it with a long sleeve bodysuit to give yourself some extra warmth. Â
Sending My Love
This outfit was actually inspired by Mickey. On the official Disneyland site, Mickey is seen kissing Minnie in an argyle sweater. While the skirt is more plaid than argyle, we still wanted to weave in a similar pattern with the plaid. The black also adds a nice contrast to the pink color making this outfit ideal for taking it into your everyday life. We are obsessed with the ears from Little Angry Betties and highly recommend checking out the entire shop.
Of course, when it comes to shoes, we always say don’t sacrifice comfort for style when it comes to a theme park. So, if these flats won’t work for you, wear a pair of black shoes you already have broken in! You don’t want to pay a lot of money to be miserable. And yes, we know the Mickey and Minnie clips from Kitsch are for doing your makeup, but we certainly think they can serve a dual purpose and be styled for a night out.Â
Cozy CutieÂ
When researching for this night, I noticed that a lot of people were dressed in layers. California nights in January and February can range anywhere from 44 degrees to 66 degrees. So we wanted to make sure you had an outfit that was equal parts cute and equal parts cozy. And can we please talk about this heart mini backpack? It’s giving Stoney Clover vibes and comes in a variety of colors and patterns. We might be purchasing one to see how it holds up…as Becky Gandillon says…for science.Â
Outfits for your Sweetheart
Of course, we couldn’t forget a couple of looks for your date. Valentine’s Day brings the opportunity for fun accessories. From bow ties to suspenders, Sweethearts’ Nite opens the door to get dapper. These looks were created to be a mix of dapper and casual. However, adding a crisp white button-up and a heart or polka dot bow tie would also carry out well here. This is also a great time to try a new hat. A newsboy hat makes for a great alternative to a beanie or a baseball hat, and the one from All Enchanting Ears is superb. Â
Sweethearts’ Nite is really a chance to explore the park in a new way with anyone you love. It doesn’t have to be a date night with a significant other, it can be a fun night out with your besties too! We hope you have found this helpful and have a wonderful time at this after hours event.Â
And remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
