Congratulations - you’re getting married! And you want to celebrate with your favorite people at your favorite place, Walt Disney World. So wonderful!

Okay, now that I’ve virtually jumped up and down in celebration of you, let’s get down to business. You’re probably reading this blog because you want to plan The Most Magical Bachelor or Bachelorette Party on Earth and have no idea where to start. I’m here to share my experience in planning my own celebration, and to share some inspo and tips to make your planning journey just as magical.
Theme for a Disney Bachelorette Party
The mood board for my bachelorette basically made itself once I booked our Grand Villa at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. I knew that I really wanted to lean into the resort’s theming , a coastal color palette and laid-back vibe. At first, my vision was a general beach vibe.

Classic stripes, a bold retro font, and a color palette of ivory, coral, and sky blue. But something happened just two months out that completely uprooted my plan for the better - the 40th anniversary of The Golden Girls.
I have been a fan of the Girls since I was first introduced to them in high school. Even though their experiences may not have mirrored my teenage ones, I found myself connecting with them over the show’s overarching theme, the love that exists in a chosen family. The guests on my list were special in that way to me, and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate them!

With my new inspiration, I reimagined my decor and started to rework items I had already purchased. I wanted the theming to be the kind of glamorous that Blanche would approve of, so I didn’t choose the cartoonish versions of the Girls’ merchandise I was finding online.
Instead, I used the design of the Girls’ home as my muse. By bringing elements of their space into the villa, I could still give tribute to the show in a way that was elevated - and accessible to my Gen Z guests!

The Guest List for a Disney Bachelorette Party
My bachelorette guests came from all different parts of my life. My family, college, and my Disney community! Here’s a little info on each of them:

The Itinerary for a Disney Bachelorette Party
To make things easier for guests attending our Disney wedding, I scheduled the bachelorette to start the Wednesday before. This minimized extra travel and time off school or work. I kept the morning and afternoon of Arrival Day empty so everyone could travel to Orlando on a schedule that fit them.

During my planning process, I sent out a quick survey to help me build out the rest of the itinerary. This allowed me to see what park(s) everyone wanted to visit, if they preferred to park hop or chill in one park, and what everyone felt comfortable spending.

Walt Disney World offers so many amazing experiences, and having the data from the survey helped me narrow things down and prevented me from descending into a planning spiral.
Planning Tips for a Disney Bachelorette Party
Even if you’re a certified Disney Adult who plans trips all the time, planning a trip like this one can present some unique challenges. Here are my tips to help your process be a little less stressful and a little more magical!

Send a Survey - Being a good host means blending your vision of the party with the expectations of your guests. A short survey will help you narrow down options for park days, dining options, and any Enchanting Extras. Don’t forget to add a question about budget!
Book Early - Once your wedding date is set, start planning your bachelorette! I started as soon as we were locked into our contract with Disney in February 2025. Booking early allows your guests lots of time to plan their travel, spreads out costs, and increases your chances of finding great deals on your resort or tickets!

Pick One or Two Parks - Walt Disney World is…a lot! This is especially true for people who don’t visit the parks often or have never been. You can still pack in a lot of fun without exhausting everyone!
Be Flexible - You might be used to a specific kind of pace on your Disney trips, but this one is going to be a little different! Don’t over schedule your group, allow for some downtime, and embrace an unexpected change in plans. You could end up creating some magical memories!

Planning a Walt Disney World bachelorette can be both magical and overwhelming. Keep in mind that at the end of the day, it’s not about the theme, the park itinerary, or even the outfits. It’s about celebrating this chapter of life with the ones who mean the most to you. The magic is truly in the memories!
