I cannot believe that it took us this long to create outfits for my favorite theme park. Hollywood Studios has had my heart since it opened in 1989 as MGM. As a kid, there was nothing more magical than going to a theme park where you felt like you were getting backstage access to T.V. shows and movies. I still remember thinking that by showing up for a visit, I was going to get chosen to be on the MMC. 😂

And even though my favorite ride has been replaced with Toy Story Land (RIP
Backlot Tour), this park is still my favorite place to be in Walt Disney World. One of my favorite things to do here is sit on a bench on Sunset Boulevard with a Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade and soak in all the old Hollywood glamour vibes.
It also used to be the home of my beloved Muppets, but we won’t talk about that tragic ending. If you’re still in denial like I am, you can check out our Muppet looks here!

This theme park is full of different themes and ideas, so we’ve come up with 5 outfits that fit perfectly for this diverse theme park experience. As always, we try to hit a variety of style preferences, so if a particular look isn’t your theme park fashion wheelhouse, don’t stress.
We hope that these themes inspire you to shop your closet and create your own fashion moment. And if you would just rather have someone plan your entire look for you, we’ve got you covered with our customized outfit planning services.
Sorcerer Mickey Outfit
My two favorite Mickey outfits are the Epcot space suits and Sorcerer Mickey. I think I love the Sorcerer outfit so much because it’s simple, yet bold. This theme works for a variety of reasons in Hollywood Studios. You can meet Sorcerer Mickey at Red Carpet Dreams in Hollywood Studios along with a very glamorous Minnie Mouse. Mickey also appears in this outfit during the nighttime show, Fantasmic. And, once upon a time, the sorcerer’s hat was once an icon of the park.

We paired this look with jeans, but yes, it’s Florida, and it will be very hot June-September. Swap the jeans for a skirt, jean shorts, or bike shorts and you’ll still be on theme and adorable! My favorite detail in this look is the rope headband, as it adds a subtle touch to Mickey’s outfit. I would pair the hairband with a skirt to give it more of an elevated look! The bracelet is from ColieandCoGoods, which is a great small shop!
Buzz Lightyear Outfit
Even though Toy Story Land replaced my favorite ride, I cannot deny how incredible this part of the park is themed! If you or anyone else in your travel group is a Toy Story fan, they will not be disappointed with what this area has to offer. As you enter this land, you are actually entering Andy’s backyard and have shrunk down to the size of a toy. Throughout the day, you can find meet and greets with Buzz, Jessie, and Woody.

While this land is magical for us 90’s kids, it is indeed hot. Apparently Andy’s mom cut down all of the trees in the backyard, and shade only exists on the planet Morph. So, if this part of the park is where you plan to be a good chunk of your day, we want to help make your outfit comfortable, but cute. The top of this outfit can be modified to your liking as a tank top, oversized tee, or a graphic tee. We have linked an alternative graphic tee from 1953 Designs that would be perfect for this fit!
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Outfit
Like most people during 2020, I took up some new interests. I finally watched all of the Star Wars movies and became a little obsessed with the franchise during this period of time. So, when I was finally able to visit Batuu once the park reopened, I was completely blown away by the immersive theming of this land. Not only is it structurally filled with details and easter eggs, but you can also find characters such as Rey, Chewbacca, Mandalorian, Vi Moradi, Storm Troopers, and Kylo Ren just roaming around. This part of the park is a MUST for anyone who loves this fandom.

This is not a Rey Disneybound, but it is heavily inspired by some of her elements and the overall aesthetic of Batuu. We couldn't decide between the purse options, so we added both to show you how each could look with this outfit. Don’t be intimidated by skirts at a theme park! I find them to be even more comfortable than shorts. Just make sure it’s not dragging the ground, and don’t forget to wear slip shorts underneath! Your thighs will thank us later.
Little Mermaid Outfit
After 5 long years, The Little Mermaid is back in Hollywood Studios. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid closed down in 2020, but has reopened as a new show, The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure. There are a lot of opinions floating around the internet about this reimagined show, but we think it’s worth giving it a shot for any Ariel fans in your life. Whether or not you see the show, you can still find Ariel from the live action Mermaid next door at Walt Disney Presents. This meet and greet is pure joy, and this outfit is sure to make her smile!

Athletic dresses are one of the easiest ways to stay cool and cute. They are easy to pack and have great re-wearability for other parks. The scalloped cardigan is a great way to stay on theme and can be tied around your waist if it’s too hot. I like to bring a small layer even on hot days, as the inside buildings can be very cold. I am all about protecting your skin from the sun, and this visor is a chic way to do so.
Tower of Terror Outfit
Disney World is the place where they create something so fantastic, so beautiful, and so well themed that you love it, despite also hating it at the same time. 🫠 I have a love/hate relationship with the Tower of Terror. On one hand, I am obsessed with the vintage appeal, the beautiful yet creepy decor and how gorgeous she looks as the icon on Sunset Boulevard. I even love the ride…all the way up to when we drop. When it comes to thrill rides, this is not my cup of tea.

I love a good overall (or shortall) moment at a theme park. This exact look maybe wouldn’t be comfortable on a July or August afternoon in Orlando, but if you are headed there any other time of year or are park hopping during golden hour, you’ll be just fine. Also, I own this exact fanny pack. She’s been through a lot with me and has held up great for a couple of years!

We hope these outfits give you a little inspiration for your future Hollywood Studios adventures. This park truly is my favorite place to be, so I hope it can bring many magical moments for you and your family as it has mine. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.
Until then, remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
